The handheld: open a check at the table, fire it to the kitchen, and take the money where the guest is sitting. A card goes against the back of the phone — no reader, no dock, no cable.

  • Battery at 85% or better, or we do not ship it
  • Unlocked. Put any SIM in it, or run it on the restaurant's Wi-Fi
  • Writes the NFC pucks for pay-at-table
  • 12-month Servio warranty: it breaks, we replace it
Tap to Pay is not switched on yet. Apple has granted Servio the entitlement for development only, and the production release is pending their review. The phone does everything else today — checks at the table, the kitchen in your pocket, writing the pay-at-table pucks — and your guests can already pay from their own phones.

These are refurbished devices, not new ones, and that is the point: the same work on a screen that has already been built, for roughly half what a new one costs. Each is wiped, tested and charged before it leaves, and if one fails in its first year we replace it. An iPad or iPhone you already own works just as well — nothing here is required to run Servio.
