Servio (“we”, “us”) provides software that helps local service businesses run bookings, invoicing, payments, and customer records. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
Who the data belongs to
When a business uses Servio, that business is the controller of its customers’ information. We process that information on the business’s behalf to provide the service. If you are a customer of a business that uses Servio, please direct data requests to that business.
What we collect
From business owners: name, email, business details, and login credentials (passwords are stored only as salted bcrypt hashes — never in plain text). From a business’s customers: the contact details and booking, invoice, and review information the business enters or that customers submit through the business’s booking page.
Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers. Each business connects its own Stripe account; funds are paid out to the business, and Servio charges a small platform fee per transaction.
How we use it
To operate the product: authenticate logins, show dashboards, send booking confirmations and appointment reminders, generate invoices, and process payments. We do not sell personal information.
Data retention & security
Data is stored on secured infrastructure and retained while an account is active. Sessions are protected with signed, http-only cookies. You can request export or deletion of your account data at any time.
Your choices
You can access, correct, or delete your data from within the app or by contacting us. Transactional emails (booking confirmations, reminders, invoices) are part of the service; you can adjust them in settings.
